Students' Corner
As College life is the right age to breed democracy, the student's representative is elected every year by general election.
The Governing Body, the top decision making authority of the College comprises of one Representative from students.
Students organize number of functions and programmes like Freshers' Welome, Blood Donation Camp, AIDs awarness, Literacy programmes etc.

Concession
Tuition Fee concession was made available to students coming from economically backward families by the college authorities with special stress on attendance record.
Annual Sports
Annual Sports of the college was held on 17th January, 2008 at the playground adjacent to Ramkumar Kamala Vidyalaya at Kali Park. The whole-hearted participation of students, teachers and non-teaching staff made the day memorable.
Students Health Home
Student's Health Home is a self-help movement. Its motto is to organise the students with the help of teachers, doctors and sympathetic citizens for health awareness and to ensure both preventive and curative health care for the student community. Presently Health Home has a hospital with all modern treatment facilities and 30 Regional Clinics throughout West Bengal. Our college is a member of the council of Students' Health Home. This membership enables students to afford expensive medical treatment, if required, at negligible expenditure.
Cultural Programmes
Various cultural programmes are organized in the college through the mutual effort of students, teachers and non-teaching staff.
a)Foundation Day of the college on 19th September, 2007.
b)H.L.V. Derozio's 200th Birthday and Death Anneversary on 18th April and 26th December respectively.
c)Rabindranath Tagore's Death Anniversary and 'Briksha Ropon' Ceremony on 9th August, 2007.
Moreover, Freshers' Welcome, Annual Social Function, Teachers' Day, Independence Day and Republic Day were celebrated in the college.
General meeting
Every year a General Meeting is organized to discuss the progress of syllabus, attendance, capability of the students to cope with the syllabus and their problems, if any. The Principal and the teachers deliver speeches on scope for improvement of the academic environment of the college and invite suggestions from the students in this regard.
MPLAD Grants The college has received a grant of Rs.15 lakhs for infrastructural development (Utilization Submitted).
Remedial Coaching
The first remidial coaching for students of our college was launched and successfully completed with financial aid from UGC in the academic session 2005-06. The college again intends to offer this course in near future, subject to availability of UGC grants.
Campus Interview
Two organizations have conducted Campus interview to provide jobs to the students of the college :
a)International Friendship Foundation on 18th November, 2006.
b)IBM Daksh on 7th February, 2007.
Workshop & Training Programme
a)A DST sponsored workshop on Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Generation ' was organised by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of West Bengal in association with the college on 20th November, 2007.
b)A whole-day training programme to teach Mobile Repairing was organised by AVJ Infotech (P) Ltd. on 8th February, 2008.
Blood Donation Camp
This camp was organized at the college premises on 10th September, 2008. More than 100 students donated blood on this occasion.

Derozio Memorial College is duly accreditated by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2005
- CU Affiliation
The College had been duly affiliated to the University of Calcutta till 2008, subsequently through gazette notification the college has become affiliated to West Bengal State University (Barasat).
- UGC Affiliation
The College has received UGC affiliation under section 2F and 12B of the UGC Act 1956
