Location
The College is situated 4 Km away from Baguiati, adjacent to the new-township of Rajarhat on the Rajarhat Road, in the North 24 Parganas District, West Bengal.

Ambience
With an area of 33,000 square feet, the two-storeyed college building is unique because of its location in the midst of the vast expanse of lush green. There are 14 well ventilated, spacious rooms in each floor. There are five halls which can accommodate 250 students each. There are facilities of library, laboratories, playground, canteen and cycle stand. Moreover, there is Computer Training Centre where the students are trained in different computer courses according to their own choice. The academic environment of the college is enriched by a beautiful garden in front of the college which nurtures aesthetic sense of the students.

History of The College
The college was established in 1996 as a result of the hearty co-operation of the inhabitants of Rajarhat locality and the sincere effort and strict supervision of Sri Rabindranath Mondal, MLA and President of the College G.B. It is exemplary that peaple belonging to different strata of the society donated blood and collected money to raise funds for the establishment of the college. The foundation of the college is marked by the earnest desire of various eminent personalities and associations to promote higher education in the locality. The college was named by the renowned leader Sri Biman Bose. On 8th March, 1996 the foundation stone of the new college building was laid by the then Higher Education Minister, Sri Satyasadhan Chakraborty. Initially, evening classes were held at Ramkumar Kamala Vidyalaya in Kali Park. On 4th October, 1997 the former Chief Minister, Sri Jyoti Basu inaugurated the new college building. Though this college is young in its age, it has succeeded in achieving several goals in this ten years span and is progressing with a positive attitude towards a brighter future.
